Ok, so now that I've lost my loyal following, I'm trying to be a little better at updating our blog, with my second post this month. I feel like I'm slowly gaining some time back now that Donovan is getting older. I've missed some major milestones, but unfortunately don't have the time to update through the summer, so I am going to try and be better (try being the key word.)
Donovan turned one on Tuesday and today, Saturday, he took his first steps when I was filming him dancing. He totally took me by surprise. Also, please note, that Liam is throwing a temper tantrum in the background. Don't worry, he was fine shortly after the filming stopped.
Check it out.

I am very lucky to have two happy shoppers with me at the outlets in Williamsburg.
The wrestling has begun.

The weather has been so nice, we took advantage and went to the zoo.

Here is Liam on the train.
Liam took a picture of Donovan and Mama on the train.

Here are the zoo-goers looking at the spider monkeys.

Here's the Halloween pumpkin, not too happy with his "strange" outfit. He already ripped it off.
Here is the unhappy Halloween crew. Liam was a scary bat. He didn't want to wear his mask though. He thought since he was a scary bat, that Mom should be a scary cave. That's where bats live, of course.

Oh my has it been a LONG time since I have updated our blog!!! I have not forgotten about our dear blog...I have just been running after the two little ones like a crazy woman. I have a short moment now to work on it...we've got lots of good pictures from our summer, but chances are I will only get a couple up. I hope you enjoy.
Check out this funny video of Dononvan "the strong little man" pushing his big brother Liam on the Elmo car. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTTJ6qSrLh4
Donovan has been through many changes, of course, and he is very, very close to walking on his own. Yesterday, he took two steps on his own, but then collapsed. I've got my video camera close by at all times because I know its going to happen soon. He has been much more predictable with his naps (finally!) and consistently sleeping through the night, but has been wearing me down in other ways, like getting into everything. He is a very good boy though...but very energetic!

Check out this video of Liam and Evangeline cheering (well sort of) "Let's Go Nova!" during Villanova's March Madness run. Evangeline is our friends' Robin and Nick's daughter and Nick is an alum too.

Daddy and Donovan watching March Madness. Villanova made it to the Final Four this year.

Liam loves his new pirate bed! In March he got this bunk bed and was a superstar with his transition to a regular bed.

So now I've got things in the correct chronilogical order. In my earlier days (pre-Donovan), I might have deleted my other posts further down of GG, Grandpa's and Brendan's visit that are not in the right order and redo them...now I'm lucky I'm doing this much!
Anyway, here is GG with her boys. Notice the shoes that Donovan is wearing. We got them to stay on , just long enough for this shot. They are the smallest shoes that Converse makes.
Cute! Grandpa H and Donovan. (D is 3 months here.)

Lollipop brothers. Liam and his friend, Landon.

We had a freak snow storm in early March after it had been in the 70's for three weeks or so. I was excited to get everyone bundled up and go outside for the only possibility of making a snowball for the winter. Luckily, I had Liam's snowsuit from when we lived in Nova Scotia for Donovan to wear.

I then realized, I had nothing for Liam to wear, so I thought back to my Canadian winter days and remembered to "layer." Poor Liam could barely bend his arms or legs. He did manage to make a small snowball.
Here is Ella, the snowgirl.

Our house post Mardi Gras party...oh how my Mardi Gras parties have changed!
Liam and Vanessa on Mardi Gras with the masks that they made.

Liam's really good friend Vanessa...they laugh so hard together.
This shot was taken the day that Donovan stopped "crying" at three months and one week. He literally cried his way through his first three months. Mama remembers, oh so well. This is probably one of the main reasons why I didn't update our blog during this time! I chose sleep over computer time.

Cutie pie!

I love this sleeping position. Donovan is 3 months here.

Going for a walk all bundled up on Valentine's Day.

Really cute pic of Donovan smiling. Notice that there are not too many picture of Liam and Donovan together when Donovan was still new on the scene. Liam did not want to be near him for a picture. Luckily, relations have improved between them and now they will actually pose together.

Here is a really adorable pic of Liam and his Daddy playing pirates right before bed. This is when Liam was still in his toddler bed, around February. He moved over to his "big boy" pirate bed and switched rooms in March.

OK, so I'm a little disorganized this time, and definately out of order, but here is a really cute picture of Grandpa Petersen's visit back in February. They are watching the SuperBowl here and Donovan is 2 months old here.

Liam climbed a lot of stairs at Mt. Trashmore so he could fly his kite.
Here's the little firefighter flying his first kite.

Here is a video of Liam flying his kite.
GG came to visit us just before St. Patrick's Day. Donovan is happy to be in her arms.
Grandpa Hanrahan was here too to meet Baby Donovan, almost 4 months.

Uncle Brendan and Liam play "pirate" and also "manhole." This is Liam's game where he like to take the cushions from the couch and rearrange them so they make a hole.

It was a really fun visit. Here is Brendan, GG, Donovan, and Grandpa.

Donovan is two months old! We are all adjusting to our new addition and enjoying our growing family. This little chunk is a happy boy, but has lots of crying spells because he has acid reflux. That doesn't stop him from eating! He's gaining weight like a champ and he is now 13 1/2 pounds!

Here he is enjoying Obama's inaguration festivities, in particular, the show that U2 is putting on.

Happy New Year 2009!
We spent a really fun New Year's Eve down at the Ocean Front. Looks can be deceiving, as it was really cold that New Year's morning. We rented a hotel room, just to get out of the house, and it was a lot of fun. Liam really liked the party. We all stayed up until midnight and then crashed right after. It was also so peaceful to wake up to the waves crashing on the shore.
Liam and Daddy braving the cold for an outside shot.

Party!
Liam is a very loving older brother. He always wants to kiss "baby Donomin." It is very sweet.
This little guy had such a blast. He was really having fun at our little party. Here he is prancing around and "partying."

So You Tube has changed their format, and I'm not very technology savvy, so I can't figure out how to get that neat image up that you just click on yet, so until then, I just have the link...

The day after Christmas...the little chunk in his new outfit from Nana.

We had a really nice, quiet Christmas this year. Liam really got into the Christmas spirit for the first time and is was neat to see his excitement. Here he is with his Grandmommy and baby brother.

The joy to sleep in any position!

All gone! Santa ate all the cookies after coming down the chimney.

Yeah! Santa brought blocks! What fun!

Watch this cute video of Donovan celebrating his first Christmas.

Liam was such a great helper with making cookies for Santa this year. Santa ate all of them up! Yum!
Our little Santa

Ahhhh...the cuteness of a deeply sleeping baby!
